Málaga is the Costa del Sol’s capital and the gateway to the whole coast. We have two apartments in the city: a one-bedroom flat near Calle Pizarro (15 minutes’ walk to the historic centre), and a modern duplex with a rooftop pool in La Trinidad. Both work for short holiday stays or longer mid-term rentals.

Why stay in Málaga city
Málaga is one of Spain’s most underrated short-break cities. In the last ten years the centre has been renovated, the port has been redeveloped into a restaurant and marina district (Muelle Uno), and the city has opened branches of the Centre Pompidou and the Russian Museum alongside the existing Picasso Museum and Museo Carmen Thyssen. The Alcazaba and Roman theatre are both free on Sundays.
You don’t need a car in central Málaga. Almost everything is walkable, and when it isn’t, the metro and buses cover the rest. The airport is 8 minutes away on the Cercanías C1 train.
Málaga also works well as a base for day trips: Nerja (1 hour), Ronda (1.5 hours), Granada and the Alhambra (1.5 hours), Córdoba (1 hour by AVE train).
Getting to Málaga city
- Málaga airport (AGP): 8 km, 8 minutes by train (Cercanías C1) or 15 minutes by taxi (~€25).
- Córdoba, Seville, Madrid: Direct AVE high-speed trains from María Zambrano station.
Practical notes
Central Málaga has pedestrian zones where you cannot drive, so if your rental has parking (like our Málaga Duplex) it makes a real difference. Both properties are in residential neighbourhoods — Pizarro 19 is a 15-minute walk to Calle Larios; the Málaga Duplex is in La Trinidad, 8 minutes by taxi or a 20-minute walk to the centre.
For stays longer than a month, the Málaga Duplex is set up as a mid-term rental with furnished accommodation and utilities included — useful for remote workers or anyone between moves. Get in touch for monthly rates.
